Matt Haffenreffer is the founder and managing director of Process First, a social impact firm that focuses on the development of digital infrastructure to scale ambitious and lasting food system change. Since 2018, Process First has created solutions that increase the consumption of healthy food and improve the resilience of community and regional food systems using research, technology, data, and process design. This work ranges from program management infrastructure for medically tailored meal providers to supply chain tools that connect growers to independent retailers. Additionally, Process First is the longtime technology infrastructure partner behind Fresh Connect. Prior to launching Process First, Matt studied mechanical engineering at Northeastern University, pursuing a career in renewable energy. This led to his focus on food as a single vehicle to impact human and environmental health.
