Senior Agriculture Scientist, General Mills

Lilly Hancock is a scientist working to advance resilient and regenerative food systems. She holds a PhD in Plant Evolutionary Biology from Brown University and brings a systems perspective shaped by both research and hands-on farming experience. Lilly has worked across research, conservation, and industry to build cross-sector partnerships and advance financing approaches that address shared challenges around water, climate, community resilience, and ecosystem health. In her current role at General Mills, she advances research and strategy to support enterprise sustainability commitments and supply chain resilience across key sourcing landscapes. Her work spans diversified row crop and livestock systems, with a focus on practical, science-based, and farmer-centered solutions that are actionable within grower communities. She lives in Colorado with her family and runs Pine Vail Farm, her urban flower farm.
