Josh Trautwein is the co-founder and CEO of About Fresh, committed to ensuring equitable access to food and its integration into healthcare financing and delivery. In 2020, About Fresh launched Fresh Connect, a digital health and fintech platform enabling health plans, providers, and community organizations to cover food costs for food-insecure patients at over 12,000 grocery stores and markets nationwide. Fresh Connect’s data and shopper insights drive research and advocacy to grow healthcare investment in food as a driver of health. Before founding About Fresh, Josh worked as an organizer, health worker, and soccer coach. He grew up in Central Massachusetts and graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in Sociology. Josh resides in Brooklyn with his girlfriend Kate and their dog Hayes. He plays soccer every week, and his favorite food to cook is collard greens.
