Jacob Lynch co-founded Fig (Food Is Good) after a years-long bout with irritable bowel syndrome following a trip to Nepal. Through that experience, Jake learned how hard life is for people with dietary restrictions and how important food is to our health. His mission is to build technology and educational resources that improve peoples’ lives, starting with people living with dietary restrictions. For the past four years, he has been building Fig from concept to 1,000,000+ users. Before that, he worked at Microsoft where he was a Product Manager. When not coding, he is generally outside, exploring New York City restaurants by bike. In his free time, he likes to get out of the city into the mountains to go for a hike or ski. He is currently a novice cook, but would like to hone his knife skills so he can make New York Times Cooking recipes more quickly.
