Agricultural Innovation Champion
Bryan champions agricultural innovation that builds more resilient and sustainable agrifood systems and helps ensure everyone, everywhere has access to safe, nutritious food. He leads a dynamic team that leverages mutually beneficial international research partnerships to deliver scientific solutions to agricultural challenges facing U.S. farmers, ranchers, and producers. Previously, he served as International Plant Protection Convention Secretariat Coordinator at the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, providing leadership and coordination to advance innovative and effective approaches to protect plant health, which impacts animal health, human well-being and the environment (One Health). He’s also provided visionary leadership in various senior roles at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Bryan holds a B.A. in International Political Economy from Colorado College and M.A. in International Economics and Policy from Johns Hopkins, Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies. He is a Security Fellow at the Truman National Security Project and term member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
