Regional Outreach Coordinator Impact Fellow, Federation of American Scientists
Ashley Schimke has worked with a variety of food system stakeholders and practitioners across federal nutrition security programs for over 12 years. Prior to joining the Federation of American Scientists as a Food Systems Impact Fellow, Ashley worked with the Arizona Department of Education to build farm-to-school programs, with emphasis on increasing access to whole foods, scratch-cooked, and culturally inclusive meals. She earned her bachelors degree in Dietetics and minor in business from Arizona State University.
