The event, which garnered sponsorship from organizations like the United Way, successfully raised over $10,000 to support participants and secure a venue. Dr. Maya Price, assistant professor at the Global Food Institute at GW played a crucial role in fostering connections between the Pitch Fest and the Institute, facilitating brainstorming sessions that explored collaborative opportunities.
